With everything moving to the cloud, it is essential that the tools and strategies for processing images move as well. 6px is a series of microservices built for large scale image processing in the cloud. Processing millions upon millions of images per month, our battle-tested software and infrastructure allows companies, large and small, to build next-generation, image-oriented applications and services in a fraction of the time.
Our large compute clusters are consistently performant, scalable, reliable and highly secure. By operating on a private global fiber network, we ensure lightning fast bandwidth.
Built for developers, by developers. Our HTTP API and supporting client libraries were engineered from the ground up to be powerful, flexible, and easy to use.
6px lets you store your images where you want. You are free to use an FTP server or CDN provider of your choice, or to use our CDN backed by Google's Cloud Storage.
6px has multiple full-featured libraries for major web and mobile platforms and bindings for the most popular frameworks. Need something special? Our REST API has you covered.
6px offers numerous support packages to meet your individual needs. If you need 24/7 coverage, phone support and access to a technical account manager, we've got it. If you don't, leave it out!
Our processing platform lets you gain insight into the performance and status of your 6px powered applications through real-time performance metrics and logs.
Pricing is based on the number of outputs, inbound and outbound bandwidth, and optional storage. Overages are charged at a discounted rate, and can be disabled at anytime.
Our batch processing support gives you the ability to process multiple images simultaneously in less time. Simply specify multiple inputs and outputs and our API will take care of the heavy lifting.

While you’ll occasionally run into image that looks just fine in both landscape and portrait modes, you may prefer a specific version. 6px gives you that flexiblity.
Resizing an image is as simple as specifiying a height and width (both integers and percentages are supported). You can even pass a flag to hold onto the image proportion.
The crop mode is used to extract only part of a given width and height out of the image. The original proportions are retained and so is the size of the image.
With 6px, filtering images has never been easier. Choose from over a dozen manipulation options to get your images just right.
Specify multiple input images, and we'll take care of the rest. You can set the size, and even the x and y coordinates, of layered images. If you'd like to get fancy, you can even combine layering with characteristics such as opacity using our filter methods.
We know watermarking is not only a common, but crucial practice used to make sure that photos aren't circulated without their owner's authorization. We encourage you to utilize our layer method to protect your property.
Extract EXIF data, such as colors, date taken, camera model, exposure, aperture, focal length, focal speed, ISO speed, exposure bias, flash, x resolution, y resolution, orientation, and more!
Our recognition algorithms provide the power for facial analysis, image deduplication, similarity identification, and more! (Please note that the analysis feature is currently in beta and under heavy development.)
Our talented team of support engineers understands the 6px platform inside and out. What's more, they are well versed in multiple coding languages and frameworks, so they can help you debug any issues you may encounter.

An output is simply the number of images that you generate or inspect using 6px.
There are various other platforms that exist, however they are often too complicated, too slow, or not customizable (if not all three). Your API is the best tool you have going for you!
